Some of the stuff from the book's feasible with the help of emotions though, yeah. I shock people when I'm really... excited? I think. [She's not entirely sure.] Or agitated. Whenever I have a boost of energy, whether it's from anger or something nicer. So that'd translate into lightning if I could actually get a handle on it, probably.

[And then there's her flowers grow and bloom when she's around people she has an amount of romantic interest in. Love is gross.]

One one hand -- yes. She does. Absolutely, she wants to be able to do something cool like what she did during Thras's challenge. On the other hand, maybe it's just not feasible for her to do it if she can't even master the basic principle of internalizing her feelings. There's a difference between hiding them (what she did back home) versus acknowledging what they can do and keeping it held within (what they want you to do here) and it's just... tough.]

It sounds pretty cool. And I've seen what others have done with it too, so kind of. Wouldn't you?

Not really. I don't know what I would do with a power like that. [ Jolteon did plenty with it, sure, but with the slightest amount of humour- ] I don't think I would make a good electric type.

Thras told me it was possible to learn how to use those powers to help my pokémon. I didn't know he meant we could learn it by our own emotions at the time, but now... If I could learn to do anything, it would be that, powers that support them.

When White replies, it's a little distant. Sosyne wasn't her favorite Arehtei by far. In fact, the whale was one of the ones she was most hesitant about, unsure if she should hate her or feel sorry for her or help her.]

It'd be really good then, yeah. If I master it even a little I'll try teach it to you! But I'd think of it a little like... Emotions are always coming out of you, like how you breathe without thinking about it, so if you focus on that then you can control them until it becomes second nature.

[But most people who have problems with it become too bored, don't know if they're doing it right, or - like White - have plainly given up on it, unable to keep even the simple thought of a certain someone's smile from making a garden grow at their feet. So to speak. Not from experience. Probably.]

I think it's like that, anyway, from what I gather. I'd try thinking of something that's pretty harmless and practicing keeping it in like that.
