[Squish squish. So nice... Maybe she should let herself do this kind of thing more often, too... Or is that a tumbling snowball? Moments are fine.]
We should probably get going, huh? Before it gets too late. I don't know how long you slept for, but the moon's moved a bit. Or we could just stay the night out here - just you, me... and Sonic.
Yeah, and if he gets too worried I might not be trusted to go out at night like this again... That's just how my stupid, dumb, overbearing brother is.
[But she sounds so, so fond anyway, lifting up enough to stare at Leo's pink face before giggling and falling onto her back. Sighing, closing her eyes, thankful that the passivity of her feelings seem to be smothered by the barrier far above them now.]
Hey, what do you think of this place? Compared to Hellsalem's Lot.
Haha, I bet that's nice for you. I just mean... Like, when I first came here, I thought it was really peaceful. Kind of boringly peaceful. Everything was just so... normal.
[But obviously it's not. And it's not all sunshine either.]
There's no everyday chaos like what you came to expect from Hellsalem's - it's the complete opposite. Moments of calamity or high energy surrounded by normalcy. It's a total culture shock for me.
[Hold on, she's getting to her point.]
But mostly what I want to ask is... If you didn't have any prior obligations, would you still want to go back?
[There was someone asking about that earlier. Going home and all. She's still not sure.]
... Yeah, it was kind of dumb of me to ask. Of course. Anyone'd say that, right? [White shakes her head.] I guess my mind's just not all there. It's pretty late, after all.
[She sits up, glancing aside at the low burning lantern and blowing it out. Now it's just moonlight.]
Thanks. It was pretty fun to make, even if I kept having to start over because I was making some of the connections too thin.
[White turns from him, studying the carving, then stands and brushes off her clothing. It's not an answer she was hoping for for sure. But it was so very Leo, who holds tight to one thing and goes for it without compromise.]
It won't last for Halloween, of course! So if you want me to make another... just say so, okay? It'll be even better the next time.
[White snorts a little, picking up her creation so he doesn't have to bother with it. Safe~.]
Flattery won't get you a free piece, Leo, and I still have a ways to go before I'm an expert anyway. Maybe if I did it for a few years I'd feel confident enough to accept that praise, but I'm still just a novice in the fine art of pumpkin carving.
[But it's nice to be told that anyway, you know? A lot of people have liked her work. To the point where she started selling them too just to make a little money on the side.]
Not a chance. I've gotta make a living, you know? The only way Black has any is because I bring home the ones I like the best and put them in his room when he's sleeping.
[It's hilarious when he wakes up and get startled by a new face.]
This one's free though. [White pats it, shrugging.] You can consider this little outing of ours proper payment though, I guess.
[... Since it was mostly to get him off her back when they had lunch together.]

[ was that a good save? ]

No, you're fine. I forgot you were there though. [And... she'll lay back down on him, yup.] Because you're comfy. You make for a nice pillow, Leo.

[ he jokes to hide his embarrassment. ]

I better bring you home. Black's probably worried sick.

...I got chased by scarecrows on my first day.
[ White's friend has terrible luck even here. ]
no subject
[It's okay, everyone has bad luck around her.]

[ That's a huge difference... ]

I do have obligations, so it makes no difference what I answer or not.

Uh. Your jack-o-lantern turned out pretty good. [ Sonic makes noise in agreement ]

Sure, Sonic liked modelling for you. [ and eating pumpkin ]
no subject
Well, she prefers it when it's cooked, but you know. White's gonna hold out her hands to help him up.]
I'll do it a few days before then. It'll be nice and ready to burn during Halloween, just like back in the city.

You're practically a pumpkin carving expert now.
